		<description>I attempted suicide 5 years ago and was terrified that anyone outside my family would find out.  I finally realized that I was ashamed of my disease, Depression.

A good friend strongly encouraged me to speak about my disease and my attempt to take my life.  It was very empowering and helped me in many, many ways.   I quickly found I was not alone.

I feel the only way to reduce the stigma is to put a face on our disease and to talk about it and keep on talking about it.</description>
