I saw a Gene Tierney documentary on the movie "Laura"(dvd) called "A Shattered Portrait" and found she had a severe mental illness that started when her daughter Daria was born. For those who don't know, Daria Cassini was born deff, partially blind and retarded. Gene was devastated. Through the 40's and 50's she had done lots and lots of mental treatments but none was so good and healthy as Menninger Clinic. She was patient in late 50's, worked as a sailor girl in a store(as part of the treatment) and was treated with the respect she was deserving since she started having troubles. She was renewed. I wanna thank you for treating so well the actress I so admire: Gene Tierney. Hi,
